Parent debts affects the whole of the school…
If debts are incurred, then the school budget has to pay for them. This means that money which should be spent on your children’s education is used to pay for debts incurred. It is very time consuming for the office staff to continually chase for dinner money, nursery fees, school trips and workshops. It is also highly embarrassing for all concerned.
Those parents that are in arrears have been contacted and asked to call in to school as a matter of urgency to discuss their outstanding debt for their child/ren.
Some of these debts date back two or more years for dinners and trips and workshops outstanding for last year! It is imperative that if you have been asked to contact school to make arrangements to clear this debt you do so.
Having an outstanding debt will continue throughout the time your child attends school and will follow on ParentPay at other schools including High School.
If you have some evidence to show that this is not a valid debt then you need to contact the school immediately.
Please contact us as soon as possible and we can set up a payment plan if this will help you.
If a parent thinks they may qualify for Free School Meals they should contact the school office for further details but it’s important to note that this will not clear any age debt.
However, it’s imperative that all debt is cleared.
Thank you.
