At different times in the year, the opportunity for parents to attend workshops can arise. At times these are directly linked to the school curriculum and are designed to help the parent/carer support their child/children at home. Such workshops may be about how we encourage reading, phonics, learning to write, supporting mathematics or encouraging positive thinking.
On occasion, workshops may be covering wider subjects such as card making, cake decorating, simple cooking or ICT skills. The school also holds ‘Family Inclusion Workshops’. These courses involve a series of eight sessions. Some time is spent with the adults alone and then they are joined by one of their children to participate in further activities.
