To launch book week within school (Week commencing 26th February), we would like to introduce you to the

CHALLENGE
This activity has been created to encourage reading at home. Evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better in reading tests than those who don’t, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures.
Please try to encourage your child to complete as many of the challenges as they can. Once a challenge has been completed, please sign next to the challenge your child has achieved. For those children that complete 15 challenges or more by Friday 2nd March they will go in a draw to win a £25 book voucher, there will also be two runner up prizes of £10 book vouchers.
We would love to create a display with some of your children completing these tasks so please snap away and send some photos in to your child’s class teacher.
