Due to COVID-19 and closing of schools’, formal assessment in English primary schools during the rest of the school year 2019/20 is cancelled. The cancellation applies to: end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 assessments(including tests and teacher assessment), phonics screening check, multiplication tables check, science sampling tests and the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile.
Primary school performance measures will not be published for the 2019/20 academic year.
Schools and colleges will not be held to account on the basis of exams and assessment data from Summer 2020 and that data will not be used by others, such as Ofsted and local authorities, to hold schools and colleges to account.
Local authorities are also not collecting any data from primary schools at this time.
