Young Voices 2017

On Thursday 2nd February the choir from Partington Central Academy took part in the Young Voices 2017 Concert at the MEN arena. They were part of a 8500 strong choir made up hundreds of school from all over the North West of England. They spent the afternoon in rehearsals for the main event in the evening, during which time they practised the songs on the set list, fine tuned their dance moves with ‘Urban Strides’ dance group and learned some beatboxing from ‘The BeatBox Collective’ who are the world champions at beatboxing. After they had their tea they were ready for the main event… putting on a concert for an audience, which included some of our parents, of approx 8000 people.

The concert was amazing! They sang,danced and beatboxed their hearts out.

I was extremely proud to take the choir to Young Voices, they conducted themselves beautifully and made our school proud.
